About Me

I’m a third year full-time PhD research student at the University of Birmingham. My research study aims to explore the narratives of disabled teachers, highlighting the role their life experiences have had on their choice of profession. This will hopefully lead to an understanding of their interaction with environments around them and the bio psychosocial impact these environments have had on their disability identities. I’m an alumnus of University of Mumbai; I began my career as a Mathematics and Science teacher progressing to become a teacher educator. My research interests include Teacher Education, Race and Education, Inclusive Education and Disability. This website is to share my research experiences.

I am the proud mother of a seventeen year old daughter. I am an avid reader, I love to cook. I am an experimental baker. I love Bollywood movies. Binge watching cooking shows, thrillers and crime series are my destressers.

Please feel free to get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
